The Pound’s rapid rise has continued.
Against the Euro, it has climbed a 1-year high.
And against the US Dollar, the Pound is not far off 3-year highs.
Given the UK’s success at rolling out COVID vaccines, other countries are under pressure to catch up.
The EU Commission is pushing for ‘vaccine passports’ as early as June – in time for the economically critical Summer holidays.
That may be good news for Brits but bad news for the Pound.
If the EU catches up with the UK, a lot of the Pound’s recent gains due to vaccine disparity may be lost.
Make sure any upcoming transactions are protected against the risks of sudden market movements.
