We are property hunting from the UK and are so frustrated at the large number of properties with loads of outbuildings and a teeny piece of land. I have talked with a number of agents/fellow potential buyers and locals in France and they all tell me variations of the same thing: Agents tell owners they will not sell their homes with hectares of land and encourage them to sell the land separately - often even if the land is agricultural with no possibility of building! Please, please property sellers and agents - there are a lot of us out there that WANT the land and the house. Buying it separately incurs extra costs to both parties (and more fees for the agents!?!) please get the sellers to offer the entire property first and if a potential buyers does not want the land, then tell them about rental possibilities to other farmers (and how they could derive income or share in land produced crops). This is a plea from the heart from many potential buyers - WE WANT LAND! Also many agents, when instructed of our needs persist in sending us properties with 812m of land... (this does not apply to Cle France!! thanks to them).
