Just a quick note to say thanks for all your work on our behalf.

I know it’s your job and all that but it feels like you have gone out of your way to help us so that means you did :-)

We signed the compromis du vente last week so, on the assumption that nothing untoward happens, we will be moving in on the 3rd June. Funny that it should be the first house we saw but it always appealed and, apart from the house we made an offer on before that was not actually available, was the only one we felt we would be happy in.

Looking forward to it all now. Living in an empty house here as we’ve packed most stuff already!

I just wanted to say that I have spoken to Nick Warner several times on the phone and exchanged emails. Nick visited the property last week and has sent me a report. He only lives 30 mins from my property which is helpful.

Nick has been brilliant, very helpful and friendly.

Gave me a great summary of the condition and the property and useful next steps I need to take in terms of renovation.

The Pound’s rapid rise has continued.

Against the Euro, it has climbed a 1-year high.

And against the US Dollar, the Pound is not far off 3-year highs.

Given the UK’s success at rolling out COVID vaccines, other countries are under pressure to catch up.

The EU Commission is pushing for ‘vaccine passports’ as early as June – in time for the economically critical Summer holidays.

That may be good news for Brits but bad news for the Pound.

If the EU catches up with the UK, a lot of the Pound’s recent gains due to vaccine disparity may be lost.

Make sure any upcoming transactions are protected against the risks of sudden market movements.

Sterling’s recent run has hit the brakes…

The Pound has fallen to a 2 week low against the US Dollar.

And against the Euro, the Pound hit a peak 7 days ago.

The UK’s accelerated vaccine roll-out had a positive effect on the Pound, but it was always going to be temporary.

Many countries are now moving from rescue to recovery mode.

Some central banks are even considering raising interest rates due to fears that there’s too much stimulus in the system – as can be seen by rampant stock and property markets.

Closer to home, the UK is set for the latest Budget.

Most Budgets are widely leaked to the press these days, so it may not make for exciting news.

Expect to hear the words ‘support’, ‘navigate’ and ‘recovery’ on a perpetual loop.
