Pound under pressure as snap election looms
The press is reporting that Boris Johnson is planning to call a snap election if parliament defeat his ‘hard Brexit’ plan today.
We see this as likely given Tory rebels are set to join Labour to block Johnson.
The election could be announced as early as tomorrow.
It’s gearing up for a day of Brexit warfare.
This will add to the political uncertainty that is weighing on the Pound.
